Diane Marie Fister, was born November 10, 1965 to Floyd and Roberta Fister. She passed away at Regency Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson, Iowa on February 27, 2025 at the age of 59 years.
At the age of four, Diane was placed into foster care and at the age of six she was adopted by George and Viola Richard. Diane attended special education classes in Jefferson from the age of 7 to 20. Diane worked at the Genesis Workshop from 1985 to 2011.
Diane enjoyed going out to eat, movies, and community activities. She enjoyed playing card games with her friends. She also enjoyed attending Camp Sunnyside. Diane also enjoyed going to St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she liked to volunteer at the church with activities and had the opportunity to go on a retreat.
A Vigil service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson. Fr. Bill Schreiber will preside. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Jefferson, IA.
