Eva Alice Patterson, 96, of Sioux Falls, died Saturday, February 10th at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls.
She was born and raised in Lake City, Iowa. On January 1, 1943, she married Frank G. Patterson in Lake City. Eva Alice taught both piano and organ, merging her teaching and musical skills. Her husband, Frank served as a pastor for a number of churches with Eva Alice at his side, including First Baptist Churches in LeMars, Jefferson, and Clinton, Iowa.
Eva Alice is survived by her children: Michaele (Larry Weaver) Bonenberger of Sioux Falls, S.D., Susan Ross-Patterson of St. Cloud, Minn., Stephen (Diana) Patterson of Bettendorf, Iowa, Mark (Evelyn) Patterson of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Timothy (Barbara) Patterson of Harrisburg, S.D.; nine grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Jean (Cleon) Babcock of Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; two grandsons, Shawn Bonenberger and Kristian Ross; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna (Bernie) Berger and Muriel (Von) Pierce; her parents; and her brother, Nicholas Joy.
