Bobby Daniels, 76, of Jefferson was born August 25, 1939 and passed away at 9:37 a.m., April 13th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a 15 month fight with cancer. His battle included a short in-home help from hospice at his daughter, Brinda’s home in Jefferson, where he went daily to see Dimitri, “my boy”, his fishing partner and youngest grandson, and the other day care kids. They all knew him as “Papa.”
Bobby loved the outdoors and being out in nature. He had to have his weekly, sometimes daily, drives to go “check out the river” after coffee and donuts early in the morning. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter following the seasons and loved fishing whenever and wherever he could. He had taken an ocean fishing trip in Cancun in 2004, and in more recent years, annual trout fishing trips to northeast Iowa with “my boy.”
Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, JoAnn of Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Jr. and Sharon of Appleton, Wisconsin; daughter and son-in-law, Brinda and Wayne Brown of Jefferson; daughter, Linda Misner of North Dakota; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Pam Bauer of North Dakota; grandson, Dimitri “Bubba” Brown and granddaughter, Cassie Brown both of Jefferson; granddaughter, Amanda Brown and grandson, Bryan Reiter both of Des Moines; and grandson, Brad Ziemer of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
As Bobby requested, a private family service is being planned at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at 109 Harding Rd., Jefferson, Iowa 50129.
